Courtney, I think you lost the likeness. Now he looks more like a manga character than Johnny Depp. I think some of your issues are coming from fighting with the medium you're working in. Your traditional drawings have come along leaps and bounds, but I think you're having a hard time translating that to digital. I would suggest (on your own time) practicing doing digital still life paintings, and really try to draw what you see. No crazy Photoshop filters or "cool" textures. Just hone your drawing skills. The textures and things can quickly become a gimmick and are like icing on the cake, they shouldn't BE the cake.
