Hair Updo (6 step process in progress)

Okay, I'm not sure if you can see it clearly.... but what I did was that i tried to get a good angle or perspective to show where and how to put the boys on each side.   The faded areas are the blue lines or dashes that I used for the reference areas.  I'm trying to keep just line work with simple colors to indicate the specific points that I'm trying to say.  I will use reference for the image, especially for the hands...  Oh, and Rendez...  I'll be at the Gallery tomorrow because I'll be matting 2 pieces for the "Tools of the Creative Mind", so I won't be in illustration class tomorrow.  I have told Vic as well that I'll be arriving there.

  2. this is off to a great start Courney. Keep in mind the things you've learned about composition and design though. Treat each frame as it's own composition, while being aware of the whole. I like the idea of a couple of these breaking out of the frame, but maybe make it look more intentional. A couple place have some design tangents happening but should be easy enough to address. Doing the mirroring effect to show that the opposite side gets the same treatment is working great. I don't know about the colors yet, play around in photoshop or do some more color studies. Even though you're working more linear, you can still think of the background color as value and help silhouette the figure. I'm excited to see the final!

    1. Thank you very much! It looked a lot easier on the video, but I'll try my best!
