Six step process (alex)

For my six steps i decided "how to pull out your tooth" with the old string-and-door bit. I'm trying to pick between a graphic realistic style or a completely cartoony style. Opinions?

  1. I think step one is jumping into things too quickly. I think you need a shot to establish what the person is using on their tooth. Keep in mind, you're doing this as if your audience has no earthly idea what you are showing them...so if shot one shows someone tying something around their tooth, don't assume we will know it's string.

Perhaps the first scene could be your character holding a string, while posing with her mouth opened, showing us her loose tooth (2 birds with 1 stone). If the string is still attached to a spool, we'll know it's string and not hair, wire, or fishing line.

    1. Agreed, And Also will you be showing that this process is also painful?

    2. And a Cartoon style would be nice, but maybe if you tried a mixture of both? such as the flat look of cartoons but the realistic cel-shading of the image?

  2. I agree with Deonte, a mixture of both would be cool.
And maybe instead of drawing arrows, having one frame where you can see the person and the door side-by-side with the string connecting the tooth to the doorknob would be less confusing. It helps you realize it's a doorknob, and makes it more clear as to what is going on in general.
