Finished my coloring tonight! It was fairly easy. I forgot to put shading on the moon! So I'm going to be working with that. and I tried not to make the crows so black so that they were more than just bird-shaped blobs. I feel like that was pretty successful. Do tell about the rest. : )
This turned out nice Kendall. I still think you should lose the little blue tangent in the upper left hand corner. Also, I enjoy the looseness of the tree texture, but I think it may either be just a bit too loose...or maybe it just needs a dark value within that texture. It may even push things to the next level by adding a little selective rim/edge lighting. Again, nice work.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the tree texture, I feel like if you'd do a more darker brown and made it look like stiff lines to match how a trees are so stiff it will look really nice. it's really good, I like the overall flow of this(How it makes my eyes look around the picture)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy how simplistic yet interesting this turned out.
ReplyDeleteI think another way to address the tree texture would be to use the same process you used to create the like around the moon- when you used the eraser and did subtractive drawing.
